Upcoming Episodes for February

Hello, All!

February is upon us! This being the month of love--Valentine's Day and all that--I've decided to use the topics of love, sexuality, and relationships as the themes for this month's episodes. I thought I'd give you all a little peek at what I've got cooking and see if any of you have something that you'd like to add.

Being the ambitious person that I am (ha ha), I'm planning on turning out three episodes this month instead of the normal two.

Episode #13 - The Dark Side: Obsession and Abuse

The topics I'll be covering in this one are pretty close to me. Two of my friends and two of my family members have been in physically and verbally abusive relationships. I plan on covering some basic, public-service-announcement-type material and examining this issue from the Pagan perspective as well. What do our religions have to say about this? What can they teach us that can help us to avoid these situations?

Episode #14 - Pagan Sexuality

For the most part, Pagans have a fairly relaxed attitude when it comes to the subjects of sex and sexuality. This is a natural part of life and there are very few in the Pagan community that will tell you otherwise. Some Pagan religions even consider sexual acts to be sacred. Unfortunately, Pagan ideas about sex and sexuality are often grossly misinterpreted--by Pagans and non-Pagans alike--as representing an absolute lack of ethics on these subjects. I plan on taking a look at what Wicca and some other Pagan religions have to say about the moral issues involved in sexual relationships.

Episode #15 - Love

As most people will tell you, love and sex are not the same thing. In this episode, we'll take a look at the concept of love and the role that it plays in Pagan religions. We'll also talk a about the different types of love and look to mythology for some great lessons about love.

Well, there you have it. If any of you have comments, stories, or questions about these subjects, please send me an e-mail ( thebroomcloset@hotmail.com ) or leave a comment on this post. I'm planning on having Episode #13 out by the 9th, so don't hesitate to contribute! Put your two-cents in!

Imbolc Blessings to all of you!

I have never been in the closet and I love being Pagan. I owned a tie dye t shirt the first time it was in style (giving up my age). Now I do fit the stereotype of the beautiful sexy witch (I wish). And yes I have had comments like "I don't talk to her because I'm afraid she'll turn me into a toad". I simply replied "Too late someone beat me to it". My pointvis that it is like any other religion. We're all just human. Enjoy who you are and don't let anyone tell you who you are or what you should believe. Life's too short. By the way, I love your show. Keep up the good work.
